Madison Saracen – 2012, World Champs

MS Mondraker

Next Junior Silver medalist Tahnee Seagrave…

From the PR: “…Tahnée Seagrave has realised what Worlds is about and in a normal European World Cup this would have brought her first junior but this was World Champs and, especially in the junior category, it brings riders from all over the world – she was beaten by a faster rider on the day and now truly understands what is needed to become the best of the best…”

The Yeti team pull out another class edit, and once again we have a silver medal in the juniors, this time in the mens with Richie Rude.

Three riders from the CRC Nukeproof team qualified for the World Champs; Matt Simmonds, Joe Smith and Matti Lehikoinen, and here’s the team edit courtesy of MTBcut.

Team SC Intense

A bit of 4X action this time from the Rose Vaujany Team.

And here’s their PR bit…

Sports = Emotion!

The best thing about sports is emotions, the ups and downs.
The emotions of the crowd, but most of all the emotions of the athletes..

After being at great heights, with the European 4X title of Katy Curd in Poland, the Rose Vaujany had a big down at the Leogang World Champs.

Although it was a great year for the Rose Vaujany Gravity Team (over 30 podiums, more than 10 wins!). But unfortunately it went wrong during the most important event of the season. The World Championships 4X in Leogang did not go as hoped…
Katy Curd and Joost Wichman were serious contenders for the world title. And perhaps Petrik Brückner could suprise the favourites. But it was not meant to be. Katy had to deal with a mechanical problem during qualifications and didn’t make it into the finals. Joost had a poor qualifying run, and thus a difficult draw. In the quarterfinals he had a nice move in mind, in the first corner, but it failed and then it was impossible to reach the semis. For Petrik it was also evening to forget. He went out in the first round.
The disappointment was great, but soon everyone realized that it had been a great first season. We’ll be back in 2013!
Eventually Anneke Beerten successfully defended her title successfully among the women. The silver went to Romana Labounkova and the bronze to Céline Gros. Roger Rinderknecht became World Champion after an exciting final for the men. The Czechs Mechura and Slavik grabbed the other medals.

But like i said before: Sports = Emotion! And that’s why we love it!
