Entries are now live for the 2012 Halo Britsih Downhill Series.
This is your chance to enter the No.1 National Series in the World and rub tyres if you’re fast enough with the likes of Steve Peat, Danny Hart, Gee Atherton, Brendan Fairclough, Marc Beaumont, Josh Bryceland, Alex Bond as well as some big international names already confirmed.
The entire 2011 series sold out in less than two days based on one British Cycling point required to enter. For 2012 we have lifted the entry criteria to 100 B.C points as well as adding an extra round to the racing calendar. If you are an international rider wanting to enter please drop me an e-mail to [email protected]. Make sure you finish in the top half of your category back home and I’ll grant you an entry.
Halo BDS 2012 Dates and Venues, two in Scotland, two in Wales and two in England, the first time an equal split:
1- 14/15th April Combe Sydenham in the South West of England.
2- 12/13th May Fort William, SCotland.
3- 7/8th July Glencoe, Scotland.
4- 4/5th August Caersws, Mid Wales.
5- 25/26th August Bringewood, Ludlow, England.
6- 22/23rd September Llangollen, Mid Wales.British Cycling National Champs 21/22nd July Moelfre, Mid Wales.
All six national races are UCI category 2 ranked except for Caersws which means UCI points are available, earn enough of those and then go UCI World Cup Racing!
The Prize Fund is swelling at over £50k broken down as follows:
Prize money will be in excess of a wallet busting £15,000 for the series. Product prizes for each category will total an amazing £35,000 in total.
Practice is all day Saturday and Sunday morning with qualifying and one race run Sunday afternoon.Live timing is by Tag Heuer, trophies from Hope Technology, live commentating by Toby Parodi, onsite catering, marquees, beer tent, pro pits, display stands and retail units to pick up a bargain from.We also offer plenty of parking, camping and spectating.

Entry fee is £70.00 per round plus the B.C booking fee of £0.60 per round.

You will need 100 B.C points from 2011 to enter on January 3rd 2012. If places are still spare then come February 1st we will lower the points criteria to 1 point. Later on in the season if there are spaces you can still enter. You will need at least 1 B.C point from either 2011 of the current 2012 season.
