Laurie Greenland Interview

In the latest issue of the mag, we catch up with Laurie Greenland. He talks about his season, future plans and lets us know his thoughts on the industry and fellow riders.

This season was unreal. Somehow I reached every single one of my goals, except one.

Laurie had one hell of a season, taking wins in almost every national race in the UK, as well as competing in an IXS European Cup round and the Norway World Cup.

It all came down to the line in the finals for the overall…

Talking about the future, Laurie has every right to be optimistic, with a 2013 British National Championship overall win and the English National Championship title, the 16 year old has all but dominated the youth category this year. When he talks about his future, you can tell he’s got big plans:

That is definitely the main aim, racing around the world with all your buddies and getting paid for it, in my eyes there is nothing better than that.

A lot of hard work and planning will have to happen to make his plans happen in future, but Laurie isn’t afraid to try hard. The transition through categories that will hopefully land him in Elite in a few years is something that he’s got in his sights:

The step up to elite that’s a couple of years away, but I know what I want to do and I will do what I can to make it happen for sure.
