Just had a call of Steve Parr telling me his team at SPS events will be putting on the Alpine Bikes Winter Series at Innerleithen. These are the guys that have been behind the National Downhill Series this year. There are going to be three rounds, Entry is £60. With all day practice on Saturday and one race run on Sunday. Due to it being winter and the days being short, rider entries are fairly limited but as the days get longer more places will be available.

I’ve been reporting for Dirt all year on how these lot have handled the National series and they’ve done a good job so this should be no different. In the next Issue (#70) of Dirt you’ll find my report from the final round of the national series with a look back over how the year has gone. Here’s a shot from a race I went to there earlier in the year, I doubt it will be as dusty in January but should be just as fun!
