Trails aren’t the fastest way down a hill and they’re not meant to be. Instead they’re meant to provide the most fun and challenge for every metre of gradient available.
Creating a shortcut not only harms a trail but it means you’ll have less fun too, surely that’s not worth a few extra seconds on Strava? Besides if all you want to do is go fast in a straight line, there’s always road bikes.
