There’s a mini revolution brewing in south Wales. Bike parks are springing up with alarming regularity and we’ve very quietly become one of the best places to ride in the world.

Spearheading the charge was the formidable Bike Park Wales but with Forest of Dean, Flyup 417 and the Black Mountains Cycle Centre all following close behind, Britain really has a pocket of year-round riding to be proud of.

The success comes from the design of the trails that deliver barrels of fun for all riders on all bikes but still challenge the most skilful of riders. The only problem is actually managing to bag yourself a place on the uplift!
