This cost of this shock might be approaching that which you’d pay for some frames and shocks combined, but you’ve got to realise that unlike any of the big player’s shocks this one is handmade to an Ohlins (kings of motorbike shocks) design with a money no object ethos, rather than being something mass produced to a price. That wouldn’t count for anything though if the performance wasn’t something special, but it is. The unique twin tube design completely isolates the rebound and compression circuits, meaning there’s zero interference between the two. The increased oil flow compared to others also brings a level of damping consistency never seen before. Despite having four adjusters for low and high speed compression and rebound, as long as you go about things systematically it’s pretty straightforward to set up as each adjustment has no effect on any of the others. It’s also the only shock we know of that offers such a range of adjustment that there’s no need for any custom internal tuning for a particular bike. If you’re looking for that extra edge over other racers this shock is well worth the money.
