As team riders Troy Brosnan and Aaron Gwin have proved, bike sizing can be a personal thing. During the 2013 season Gwin reckoned he wasn’t getting on with the stock geometry, whereas it certainly doesn’t ever seem to have held Troy back. We’re with Troy on this one because we think Specialized have done an amazing job on the sizing and geometry of this bike, something which becomes particularly noticeable on harder tracks. In truly gnarly terrain this bike is second only to the Scott Gambler. The amazing Ohlins shock no doubt helps in that respect, but it’s really the overall package of this bike that makes it shine so brightly. It says a lot that this is the only bike that we’ve ever seen Steve Jones lock up!
