For some unknown reason most 1.5” to 1 1/8” reducer headsets seem to cost a small fortune, but this new one from Element is far more sensibly priced, especially when you consider what you get. Rather than just getting two cups, you actually get three. Two of which are zero–stack ones, but then you also get a 12.5mm lower cup, which you can use if you either want to increase your fork crown clearance or simply slacken off your head angle a touch. Top it all off with some high quality and easily replaceable cartridge bearings and you’ve got yourself a great deal.
