4x track builder Phil Saxena is in Mont Sainte Anne, Canada putting the finishing touches to the World Cup 4x track in preparation for round #6 on 20th/21st July.
Here’s what he told us:
Here’s a few photos. As I said, they’re a bit crap as it chucked it down all night before the photos which were taken before the stone surface got put on the track to make it hardpacked whatever the weather (unlike last year!)
The rock garden in photo 1 is the same as Fort Bill but twice as long. There are two river gaps, a Pro section, a longer first straight and loads of new drainage. There’s also the new berm, it’s big and surfaced with 2ft+ boulders.
The finished version isn’t quite so gnarly as it’s got some more dirt in the cracks, but it ain’t smooth!
DirtTV will be there next week bringing you more photos, helmet cam and video action plus all the very latest World Cup news and views.
Check out the crazy orange lizard chilling on the landing of the second river gap.
