Dirt photographer Grant Robinson was up at Bridgnorth for round 2 and 3 of the NPS4X series at the weekend and beamed down news of what went on:

Bernard Kerr, Martin Ogden, Steve Taylor, Scott Roberts…a handful of many who went into one of the scariest first corners in NPS 4X racing and didn’t come out.?

The 3rd and 4th rounds of this years series was held on the weekend at ‘The Edge’ near Bridgenorth. The first corner had two lines, take the inside and you could win, take the outside and you wouldn’t. The only problem was the inside had a nearly blind and super steep entry and was wide enough for 1 and 1/2 bikes and as the name implies, in 4X there are four bikes trying to fit the space…you do the math.?

So with Bernard out with an injured hand, Oggy out with a broken collarbone, Steve Taylor out with a shattered helmet and Scott Roberts with a chest injury, Chris Roberts the organizer made the wise decision to close off the inside line for Sunday’s round. Minus a number of riders who were injured from Saturday’s first corner shenanigans the racing was no less exciting for the spectators who were still treated to some super fast racing with good passes, crashes and most of all a super sunny Sunday. Dust was everywhere making it seem more California than England but it was just how I like it.
Some timing software problems made it a long day but it could have been much worse…

Scott Beaumont, Isaac Mundy and Katy Kurd all added to their season’s point tally’s with overall wins but?
