First off I’ll apologize to all those who thought they might be getting some more Eurobike pictures. Sorry. To tell you the truth the sheer scale of the place freaked me out…I had a panic attack so legged it out and caught the first train to the sanctuary of the mountains.
Peace at last, I took a walk up the mountain today for some fresh air and a gander at the track.
Well to be honest they haven’t actually marked it out yet, but there’s only a few ways down this hill.
The first word that came to mind walking up this hill was “rooty”. There’s a hell of a lot of roots here (probably got something to do with the trees like), she’s fast and steep too. The track starts at the mid station which is 1350m and finishes at the lift carpark which is 750m, so a quick bit of math makes that a drop of 600m, which ain’t bad at all.
There’s roots on this route no matter who you’re rooting for.
Oh and it crosses a road…twice.
Which ever way they mark the track some bits will look like this.
