Big Red is getting a lot of use these days, but today she had a slight problem so out came the old Haynes manual and the hammer
Once she was fixed we headed over to the North Shore, the place where the whole wood work thing began. We headed for the hill they call Cypress and hooked up with Glyn o Brien and chums, then headed off to a trail called Wild Cherry
This was one of the gnarliest trails i’ve seen for a while, it starts with a well sketchy rock roll over a massive tree root and had me over the bars quicker than you could say’ blimey thats steep’ OB was making it look easy though
At the bottom was a muther hubbard of a gap/step down, kinda 40ft out and 15ft down, i lined it up, but had the wrong kind of tyres on really for that sort of jump, so i left it alone
All that was left to do then was pull in for a shot of coffee
