We’re trying to update the results every few minutes as they come in. We’ve just heard from Champery that Aaron Gwin doesn’t realise that he has been DQ’d. Seems that he fell off on the last steep section, went out of the tapes then rejoined lower down. From what we gather the track was too steep for him to climb back up to rejoin where he left. He reckons he lost 10 seconds in the crash. Does this mean that he has not qualified for tomorrow? We know that if you are top 20 you are protected, but we are not sure if being disqualified affects this. More news as we get it.

So the top 14 in Champery is made up of riders from four countries: Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand and France.

Oliver Burton (Dirt TV’s helmet cam man at Fort William) rides a stormer to finish 13th. Greg Minnaar loses points in the title chase back in 15th. Dirt Norco team rider Ben Reid get a great result with 16th. But what about the big news: Spagnolo, Masters, Peat, Hart, Delfs, Paulhan and more? Blenkinsop, Atherton and Fairclough were to be expected, but there are some new names in the mix for sure.
