MIJ downhill, who currently host a summer downhill series in the Forest of Dean as well as the Conquer the Cliff race, have today announced they will be hosting the final three rounds of the 2018 National downhill series that will be replacing the BDS.
In a post on Facebook, MIJ said: “BC have announced that there will be a 5 round series and we have been awarded Rounds, 3, 4 and 5.
“Venues and dates have been given to us and we are getting them approved by the venues. More info ASAP.”
It’s great news that Britain will continue to have a national series next year and the prospect of new venues and a shake up to the system could be great for British downhill.
There will also apparently be two other organisers hosting a round each to make up a five round series, we’re sure they will be announced in the coming days. We also saw this in the comments that got us very excited – could a Dragon classic be returning?
