After two rain affected and unpredictable races, we finally got to see where everyone stacks up on an even playing field.
It was Gwin, Seagrave and Iles that took the wins today but where does that leave the overall as we head into the second half of the season?
Juniors
Finn Iles extends his lead at the top of the standings with his second victory of the year. He already has an ominously large lead of 60 points at the top of the standings, effectively giving him one race’s grace with four to go.
Walker maintains second but Kade Edwards leap frogs Kaos Seagrave to take third. Sylvain Cougoureux sat out this round so drops down to fifith while Joe Breeden claims sixth. With just 19 points separating third to sixth, it’s going to be a tight run in to the end of the year.
Women
Tracey Hannah holds on to her lead at the top of the women’s overall but Tahnee Seagrave leaps from fifth up to second after her maiden victory.
She only has four points to spare over Myriam Nicole in third and Manon Carpenter isn’t too far off either.
Men
Greg will keep the leader’s jersey for Andorra but a charging Gwin is only 38 points behind. Jack Moir holds third despite crashing out on his race run today.
Marcelo Gutierrez has slipped from second to fourth and Loris Vergier gains 10 places to land himself the number five plate.
It’s starting to look like Danny Hart and Loic Bruni’s title challenges will have to be put on hold this year as they sit 25th and 26th respectively after a season filled with bad luck.
