Tahnee Seagrave has clinched her first ever downhill World Cup win in Leogang. She lay down a scorching time of 3:36.082 to hold off top qualifier Tracey Hannah.
Seagrave has looked fast enough for a win for the past two years but never quite managed to string it together. She may be known as more of a tech specialist but grabbed her maiden win on the bike parky Leogang, she described the win as “more of a relief than anything” in her finish line interview.
Tracey looked strong on the motorway but wasn’t quite able to match Seagrave’s speed. Hannah holds on to the leader’s jersey but it looks like she’s going to have some hot competition for the rest of the year.
Myriam Nicole put Remi Thirion’s huge off in qualifying yesterday behind her to finish third. Manon Carpenter finished fourth and there was a big gap back to Siegenthaler in fifth.
Nice one Tahnee!
