Get set for the summer as champéry is ready to ride, with lifts opening this weekend.
After huge amounts of hard work to provide riders with the best conditions, the trail crew over at Champéry, led by local legend Ben Walker, are ready to open their lifts. We have noted that if you see Pierre Barreau, Numa Sneiders, Kristof Lenssens or Gaëtan Rey working on the trails, which are all hand built by them, that beers or just a simple hello would be much appreciated.
The legendary WC track, the setting for ‘that‘ Danny Hart run, has undergone improvements to make it smoother and more enjoyable. Though I am sure that doesn’t mean it will be any less tough. The Chevreuil trail has also been completely re-done to offer an alternative which is more accessible for all levels.
To showcase the current conditions, ShapeRideShoot teamed up with local Scott rider, Julien Fournier, to produce this killer video. I certainly know where I want to be this weekend.
The trails will open for the weekend only from the 20th of May till the 15th of June, from there they shall be open every day until the end of the season.
