I’ll pack my bags now because I don’t go big (go small and stay is my motto). But if you are a biggie rider and want a chance of competing in Big in Bavaria then you need to enter the pre-qualification event- Go Big or Go Home. Read on for all the details.
GO BIG OR GO HOME:
pre-qualification contest for the BIG IN BAVARIA Vol.II
at the BIKE EXPO 2010 running from July 22nd to 25th
Munich, May 4th 2010 – You always wanted to battle with the world’s best pros for an overall prize fund of 20,000 Euros? Go for it: Up-and-coming riders have the chance to register for the GO BIG OR GO HOME dirt jump competition and to qualify for the BIG IN BAVARIA Vol. II in Munich, Germany, from now on. The best 20 mountain bike and BMX rookies of the GO BIG OR GO HOME contest get the chance to compete with the invited big names of the dirt jump sport in the second edition of the BIG IN BAVARIA, an official GOLD event of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour. Mark the BIKE EXPO date (July 22nd to 25th) in your calendar and register yourself on: www.gobigorgohome.de for the GO BIG OR GO HOME.
The first BIG IN BAVARIA contest in 2009 featured the Who-is-Who of the dirt jump scene, which is reflected by the list of names on the podium:
The mountain bike category was dominated by Martin Soderstrom (SWE, 1st), followed by Sam Pilgrim (GBR) and Darren Berrecloth (CAN), who are three of the biggest players in dirt jumping as well as the first two are also the leaders of the FMB World Tour ranking right now.
Brandon Dosch won the BIG IN BAVARIA in BMX, followed by his American fellow TJ Ellis and the young German rookie Simon Moratz.
The BIKE EXPO hosts the BIG IN BAVARIA on the public days during the weekend like in 2009. But on the first two days of the BIKE EXPO 2010 – which are only open for trade visitors – ambitious riders can compete in the GO BIG OR GO HOME competition to get the unique chance to hit the super-sized doubles of the BIG IN BAVARIA with the invited pros. Of course, the GO BIG OR GO HOME jumps will be smaller sized than the BIG IN BAVARIA dirt line. But the separate course will also offer a lot of airtime, so everyone can show his skills and newest tricks in front of the BIKE EXPO tradeshow. The mountain bike attendees get an additional candy on top: The BIG IN BAVARIA is one out of five GOLD level events of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour, which means that riders from around the world can score high points for the official overall world ranking. Take your chance and go big!
From July 22nd until 25th 2010, the BIKE EXPO will become the place to be for all dirt jump freaks, bike fans and the whole cycling industry.
