Half way to Crimbo and it’s time for some crazy race action from the start of the year. Blenki is one rider you do not want to get in the way of!

Here’s what we said at the time:

Well, it’s a good job nobody was hurt here! Sam Blenkinsop was on a flyer (on a new bike too apparently) when this oblivious rider cut straight across the track.

With no shoes, big red headphones on and no helmet, it’s safe to say this wasn’t a guy who knew his way round a downhill race track. His lack of awareness is still unbelievable though. We don’t like to criticise marshalls as they’re normally volunteers, but maybe they could have done more to stop him crossing.

In the end nobody was hurt but he was lucky to escape, we’ve seen Blenki at full tilt and we wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of it!
