With the current move to longer top tubes, wider bars and shorter (yeah even shorter) stems, component manufacturers have had to get around the problem of… the steerer tube getting in the way. Pacenti had an interesting take on this problem with their ‘carbon dent’.
We haven’t seen this Renthal model in the flesh yet (there is one in the post) but we know that it features a 31mm length, which apparently leaves just a 0.8mm (roughly a gnat’s scrotum hair) between the bar and steerer. And at just 108g it is very light too. More when we get one (price £79.99).
