Yannick Granieri: Recovery Road – Part 1

Yannick reflects on the serious knee injury he suffered in 2012 and his rehabilitation since then.

There’s a good reason why Yannick Granieri’s name has been missing from entry lists for FMB World Tour events this year.

The Frenchman tore his ACL ligament in his left knee at the 2012 Bearclaw Invitational event in August. Yet to know the extent of the injury, Yannick continued to compete and took his place at Red Bull Joyride 2012, only for him to crash there. The knee injury ruled him out for the rest of the 2012 season and the early part of this season.

Now fully fit after successful surgery and rehabilitation, Yannick was back competing again at FISE Montpellier in May and will be featuring in next week’s Red Bull Joyride contest.

Filmed over two parts, Recovery Road gives an insight into Yannick’s journey back from injury and getting back on a bike. Watch Part One in the video player above and check back next Thursday (August 15th) for Part Two.
