Sebastian Keep has just raised the bar! On an unassuming bypass on Croydon he spotted this hectic wallride and went to desperate lengths to hit it.

Standard “this is not mtb” disclosure aside, we couldn’t help but want to post something this rad. He built a kicker and a landing quarter then rocked up with his crew in hi-vis jackets at dawn to nail it. They managed to clear the run in and fool the police but unfortunately he wasn’t able to stick the landing.
Seb said: “We knew that what we were doing wasn’t exactly legal so we decided to wear high vis jackets and hard hats and try our best to disguise ourselves as road workers so that people would leave us alone and It worked!
“At the spot in Croydon nobody knew if it was possible to ride down 20 feet of vertical wall and, after speaking to various pro riders who didn’t have an answer for us, we decided to try it…”
The compression from a vertical, three-storey drop must have been insane. Reckon it could be done on an mtb?
The shot graced the cover of our sister mag Ride UK‘s final issue (they closed print on the same day we did) and has become an iconic image. Finally the video is here.
If you’ve got time there’s also an in-depth, behind the scene documentary below that’s well worth a watch.
