You take a downhill race to the middle of a crowded city and there are going to be one or two close calls.

Finn Iles caught his with a local resident on camera so he did the obvious thing and slapped it straight up on Instagram with the caption: "watch out for pedestrians...".

Iles was flying round a blind corner when a local woman, ignoring the marshall's whistle, attempted to cross the track. Thankfully there was no collision but it looks like she got a scare as the young pinner rode past. A close shave for someone still too young to buy razors!

Finn Iles finished eighth in a stacked field. Not bad considering he's still technically a first year junior!
