Mass start carnage, dropped chains and a crazy pick up truck driver, Cedric Gracia’s Megavalanche La Réunion run really did have it all.
We have no idea what the driver thought he was doing but he very nearly caused some serious damage – CG does not have a good history with this race!
There’s also a cool shot of (Olympic gold medallist) Julien Absalon and Jerome Clementz beasting up a hill, fair play to Clementz for keeping up – although CG burns them back on the descent!
Despite everything CG still managed to finish third and got to taste some (well deserved) bubbly
