The Crash Section

Words and Filming: Tom Caldwell

With all the footage captured during A Slice of British Pie we ended up with a dollop of outtakes and behind the scenes stuff and with a full length edit, it’s only right that there’s a Crash Section, and man, was there were plenty of crashes to chooses from.  A Slice of British Pie was made to remind us all just how raw and radical mountain bike films should be. Sometimes you have to drop the technology and 500 frames per second, and simply enjoy some of the world’s biggest names simply having fun on their bikes, just like we all do. Nothing more, nothing less.

We really hope you have enjoyed watching A Slice of British Pie as much as we all enjoyed making it, it looks fun because it was fun.

Dirt wants to say a HUGE thanks to Tom Caldwell for his exceptional work and dedication to this project, he was the filmer, editor, project leader and babysitter to the riders, the outcome is better than we could’ve ever imagined.

Another huge thank you to all of the riders that quite literally threw themselves into ASOBP without any hesitation. Their skills on their bikes and mix of personalities is what made it all so much fun to be part of.

Finally, but by no means least, we want to reach out to thank Bell Helmets, Zyro and DMR for their trust and help in making the project such a success.

Now, Who wants the rest of the Pie?
