Harald Philipp and Tom Oehler feature in this beautifully shot edit of a descent of the ‘sea of rock’, Mount Sommerstein in Austria. The video tells the tale of a pre-mountain bike attempt in 1972 and the more successful journey 40 years later.

“Imagine, there ́s a bike hanging in the face of Mount Sommerstein. For 40 years now. The tires covered with moss and the frame corroded of rust. Bike alpinist Harald Philipp and former Trial World Champion Tom Öhler crown an old project of two Austrian ‘pioneers’ which ended up with a demolished bike in the middle of a vertical cliff. Two different bikers following one story diving into the “Sea of Rock” with their bikes delivering spectacular images and riding.”
