It’s that time of year again when we get confused about who’s where doing what with who so we’ve scanned down the top 20 to work out all the team changes for 2018.

Of course, the big move was the pretty poorly disguised return to a UK team for Danny Hart, who ended up on Mondraker. There were also big moves for Brook MacDonald, Amaury Pierron and Charlie Hatton.

Truth be told, most of the top 20 is staying the same but there will be some big component changes to be revealed in the next few days. Here’s a look at what the top 20 men will be riding next year (women below):

1. Aaron Gwin stays on YT
2. Troy Brosnan stays with Canyon
3. Greg Minnaar stays at Santa Cruz
4. Loic Bruni stays with Specialized (although we heard another team was having a nibble)
5. Loris Vergier stays at Santa Cruz
6. Danny Hart moves to Madison Saracen
7. Jack Moir stays with Intense
8. Mark Wallace stays with Canyon
9. Greenland stays with Mondraker
10. Alexandre Fayolle stays with Polygon
11. Amaury Pierron moves to Commencal/ Vallnord
12. Marcelo Gutierrez stays with Giant
13. Luca Shaw stays with Santa Cruz
14. Jure Zabjek stays on Unior but will be breaking the code on a new bike brand
15. Baptiste Pierron stays on VVR
16. Dean Lucas stays with Intense
17. Rudy Cabirou stays with Unior but will not be on a Trek
18. Adam Brayton stays on Hope
19. Sam Blenkinsop stays with Norco
20. Charlie Harrison stays with Intense

Women

No real changes in the women’s field this year with the women’s top ten all staying putt except for Manon Carpenter who departed mid-way through last season.

There are a few other faces moving away from the sport with Vaea Veerbeeck leaving after seven years on the circuit, Vero Sandler signing with Marin to be a content creator and Morgane Charre still be racing on Bergamont but not in the downhill team.

Best of the rest

21. Matt Simmonds off Madison but its unconfirmed where he’s headed just yet.
24. Brook MacDonald from GT to Mondraker.
26.. Charlie Hatton from Intense UK to Trek.
28. Markus Pekoll retires.
29. Greg Williamson off Cube, we dunno ho his new team is gonna be yet.
30. Taylor Vernon off Unior Tools.
40. Ed Maters to Pivot
