Specialized Gravity has today announced it has signed Miranda Miller for the full 2017 World Cup series and selected Enduro World Series events.

Miller was the breakout star of last year’s World Cup Series as she picked up two podiums in her three races and finished tenth in the overall. She also retained her Canadian National Championship crown and won the Crankworx Garbanzo DH.

In the EWS she picked up a fourth and two fifths in her four races, finishing 11th in the overall.

She was racing as a privateer on a Specialized set up last year, so the transition onto the full Gravity team should be fairly easy, even if they are now moving onto Ohlins suspension.

Miller said: “Thanks to the crew at Specialized and Pure Agency, I’m getting the opportunity to transition from a privateer to now racing a full season with the best support available. This is a dream come true and I can’t wait to progress in a setting I’ve never experienced before, alongside a couple of World Champions and a killer staff.”

The Specialized Gravity team has been without a female racer since Emmeline Ragot left at the end of 2014, back when they were on Lapierre bikes. It’s great to see them supporting women’s racing again and though Miller will have big boots to fill, she showed how capable she was last year.
