two hard days racing in the Atlantic for round 3 of the Enduro World Series
The third round of the Enduro World Series took us to the Atlantic island of Madeira. With rain in practice leaving it’s mark on the trails, the round proved challenging to even the hardiest of racers.
The stages, which ranged from steep and rocky to physically demanding, took many by surprise. With its volcanic singletrack and tight sub-tropical forest really taking its toll, mechanicals and flats were rife. This led to a crushing exit in stage seven for Jesse Melamed, who was taking a strong lead up until punctures hit on stage seven.
