Day one or Thursday in Maribor and Dirt snapper Victor “Casa” Lucas has come up with 5 gems from Slovenia.
(Gary “Flipper” Perkin has two photos of two bars in Madrid two doors away from each other on his i phone; one is called “Casa Victor” and the other is called “Casa Lucas”. what are the chances of that eh?)
These are just some of the bumps and scrapes that Marc Beaumont is carrying around after his big smash up at the wheels of speed last week in Willingen. But a sore back and gravel rash won’t stop him from racing.
it’s only day one and there wasn’t even any riding for the downhillers, but its all action for SRAM’s blackbox guy Jon Cancellier.
Today he rebuilt about 15 sets of forks, several shocks and bled who knows how many sets of brakes. It must have been at least 35 degrees inside the truck, and that’s not just because of the posters either.
4X is all about efficiency these days. Roger Rinderknecht has this neat and light 4speed setup on his GT, using a custom rear hub.
Two weeks ago, Jared Graves shook off the jinx he seemed to have at Fort William and put himself into a 210point lead in the 4X series.
Considering there’s only 125 points for a win, that’s a pretty healthy margin.
Rafa Alvarez won here last year on a hot and dusty track. So far the weather has been similar, but the forecasters haven’t really decided what we are getting for the weekend yet and the track has gotten a little faster with various changes here and there – a longer first straight and no more rocks or roots. So we’re holding back any predictions for this one.
