The rise of Troy

Brosnan gallops back to the top

Four races and eight winner so far this year, throw all your predictions out of the window, there’s simply too many people going too fast. What a season we’re having!

Three years, five fastest qualifier and 13 podiums since Brosnan took his first win in Fort William 2014 and he’s finally got a second. But if you think he’s had a long wait then feel for Myriam Nicole who ended her own five year dry spell yesterday.

Myriam’s first win since Val di Sole 2011, we reckon it was worth the wait

In the juniors, it was Finn Iles who took top honours. He pulled out a five second buffer on the rest of the field and would have slotted in seventh in elites – maybe it’s not so bad to be ‘juniored’ anymore. And let’s not forget Meg James – two world cups, two wins and the biggest margin of the day, please don’t let her go back to XC Tracy!

Can’t beat a good pan.
Kade Edwards is the fastest first-year junior by some margin, he could well dominate next year.
Walker put in another great time but there's simply no catching Iles when he's on form like that
Rach pushed through the pain to grab a podium this weekend. There’s not many people out there who could recover from a popped shoulder so fast, so well.
Tracey will probably feel like she fluffed it with her crash but in truth Pompon was flying and would have been tough to beat.
Manon’s first dip off the podium this year. We’re sure she’ll be back up near the top in Lenzerheide.
Not winning but still smiling, it must be nice for Atherton to have some pressure off.
Nicole burying herself within feet of the line
Four races four winners - the women's series hasn't been this exciting in a while
Six years on ice
It was great to see Danny Hart back to his old self
When you see Hart's split times...
Bruni looked so smooth and composed on a hectic track and was rewarded with a podium
Blah bah 29ers. Blah blah stylish
A second place keeps Minnaar well in command of the overall nut did he throw away a win on those last two turns?
The agonising wait
Seconds from glory.
SuperBruni
Five all-time greats on one podium. We're pretty lucky getting to watch these guys battle it out this year.
There hasn't been a more popular winner in a while
