Mont Sainte Anne Friday Weather and news

Friday at Mont Sainte Anne is World Cup qualifying day. DH qualifying starts at 14.00pm local time and 4x qualifying at 18.30pm.
Showers are predicted today, but at the moment the dark clouds are just blowing on over. Rain could make qualifying interesting. UPDATE:apparently it’s raining at the top now.

How Mont Sainte Anne looked this morning.

The schedule.

The MS Evil racing team are known for their extravagant European pits, here in Canada things have taken a low key, budget approach…discount if you will.

This is Martyn, Josh Bryceland’s mechanic. Yesterday Martyn drilled an 8mm hole in his left hand in a bizarre power tool incident and spent the afternoon at the local hospital.
Holy Moly.

Any Moto GP fans will know that Valentino Rossi AKA “The Doctor” rides number 46. It’s kind of ironic that Sam Dale is running number 46. Sam Dale has glandular fever and really needs a doctor right now.

Joey Schusler is Yeti’s new signing, after a 5th at the US Nationals he’s got enough points to race World Cups, but the points don’t kick in till Bromont so he’s just chilling at Ste Anne. Anyway, Joey was telling me about the 303 being named after the Colarado area code and this new Yeti prototype being named after the new area code 970 or something. See more of th proto and Joey at Bromont next week.

You have to have balls to run a bike with no seat, tennis balls. The rat look is big in St Anne.

Oh, and no one has correctly guessed whose feet these are yet…they aren’t Palmers.

If you think it’s all rock and roll for DirtTV staff on the World Cup circus, then think again. This is me at 02.00am struggling to upload DirtTV video in the only place that gets half a sniff of wifi signal, the bog.
Late night toilet sessions are common in Ste Anne.
