Danny Hart has won yet another timed training session in 2018 under stormy skies in Mont Sainte Anne - Hart has now been fastest on the first day of practice at three of the six rounds so far this year.
It was a close run session as Loic Bruni continued his return to form by finishing less than half a second back despite being 1.5 to the good after two splits. MacDonald, Atherton and Pierron all lay about three seconds back and rounded out the top five. Greg Minnaar made an awesome return to racing with sixth.
The other result that stands out for me is Troy Brosnan. He may have finished out of the top 20 but he's the only other guy to be faster than Hart at any split.
Out of the women's field, only Tahnee and Rach elected to drop and both posted cruiser times as they were clearly taking the time to scope lines as opposed to full runs, in fact, they're both still making their way down as we write this.
FMD's Jamie Edmondson was fastest among the junior men while no junior women took to the course.
