The pressure was on for the Propain Dirt Zelvy boys with Phil, INnes and james all racing their home World Cup. Thankfully they delivered in spades and the team picked up its first top 20 of the year.

Fort William was a tough weekend – from the emotional rollercoaster that was the Stevie Smith tribute run to the battering the track dealt to bikes and riders alike. Unfortunately Isak was a casualty of the conditions and a deteriorating track caught him out. He went over the bars and aggravated his wrist injury from Lourdes. Hopefully it won’t be long before we see the viking back on two wheels.

James Purvis qualified sixth but a crash on the top section put him out of contention by the time the second split time flashed up on screen. He said: “I thought I had plenty of time to make up but nerves got the better of me again and I lost it at the top. I feel so fast in practice but I just need to reel it back in race runs because I just get nervous and come off the track everywhere and I end up crashing.” Hopefully he can start to bring in the consistency as we head into the second half of the season.
