All star crew descend on Dyfi

A freeride comp? A race? A bit of both? There’s no real definitive answer for what Hardline is. All we know is it’s pushing the limits of downhill’s elite as the one event that makes them stop and pause before dropping in.

This photo may not show it, but stoke levels are high

In North Wales, Dan Atherton has been tweaking his monster course to be ready for the first sends on Friday. As a warm up, he invited the racers to his other creation in the DyFi forest to get used to the wet, slatey conditions and the feeling of riding big jumps again.

Led out by Gee, Muddy and Gaz Brewin, the morning was spent admiring Dan’s handiwork and then sending it in huge party trains down the hill. Here’s all the action:

So rad to see Darren Berrecloth on UK shores. He's entered a few Crankworx races before but this is something totally alien for the Claw.
The weather was moody in the valley yesterday as Muddy sends it into the grey.
With more time spent in the air than on the ground, this was the perfect warm up for Hardline
Old school cool. Dave MacMillan rocking a Vans sweater
All aboard the Brewin express
The recently crowned National series champion facing another monumental challenge. Safe to say it's been a big first year in elites for Charlie Hatton
Huge.
Kaos Seagrave is the youngest rider in Hardline this year. Respect.
Gee lazily whipping out his Worlds rig
Gazzy B knows these tracks like the back of his hand and was more than happy to show the way
Joe Smith has podiumed in the past at Hardline and will be hoping for another big result this weekend.
Kaos giving it the tweak over the road gap North Shore drop. Let's see if he does the same over the monster on Sunday
Nutter!
DyFi has sends big enough to challenge any rider
Bernard Kerr leading out a party train
The sand-camo Phoenix from Worlds is looking totally rad
Keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times
Sending it into Sunday. Bring on Hardline.
