Four Cross (On a Hill that’s red).
Unfortunately the Butcher has found himself in a spot of bother. Witnesses say he was last seen chasing a kangaroo armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and a bible in the other. So whilst he is lost in the outback I have been drafted in to take his place.
My name is ‘Dopey Dan’ and this is what, from a spectator’s point of view, I think of four cross racing. After attending my very first downhill race a few months ago I simply can’t understand why more mountain bikers don’t race the four man thing. It’s great to watch and judging by the grin underneath ‘The Butchers’ hairy ginger beard the riders love it to??
These guys are competitive. The competition lasted well after the podium as ‘Disco’ Dave and ‘Boom Boom’ battled it out on the journey home. Dave got ‘The Snap’ out of the field but Scott’s dad executed a great block pass on a garage forecourt. If ‘Manual Man’ Lacey could of just sneaked in behind Scott we would have had a carbon copy of the Red Hill results. Long live Four Cross, I’m sold on it and have pre-booked my seat in the van for the next one. You should to.
Thanks for a great days entertainment,
