Bradley was streaks ahead of the field as she won qualifying on the Saturday and then dominated the women’s final. She missed the gate but made her move in the second corner to take the lead and didn’t look back for the whole race, even taking the time to cruise through the final corner.
Tomas Slavik’s final was a bit more closely fought as, although he too was top qualifier, he clashed with Felix Beckeman for the win in the final and had to pull off an audacious overtake to secure it.
Slavik siad: “I have had an awesome winter of training and it is paying off right now. After a year of illness in 2015 I’m stoked to be back and take the win here in Winterberg and leave here with the 4X ProTour points lead.”
German favourite Aiko Gohler unfortunately failed to make it past the first round of racing which would only place him in 44th for the day. The current 4X World Champion just didn’t look at home all weekend, however the early first round exit was a real surprise.
