Winter Digging and Backyard Tracks – Who’s Done What?

It could be anything from a flowing line like this to a set of jumps, what ever flicks your switch.

Winter Digging and Backyard Tracks – Who’s Done What?

The days are getting longer and that means spring and then the magic of summer isn’t too far away. Billy the web started this feature way back when and it’s high time we saw it again to get a feel for what is happening out there.

There’s nothing better than a bit of winter digging to get your summer riding prepared – “you reap what you sow”, etc. So, we want to see your winter efforts. We’re not wanting Strava routes and postcodes just a show of hands to see who is putting their shovels to the dirt. With any luck it will inspire you to get out there and carve a new line if you haven’t done so already.

So take some photos, write some words – there must be something going on near you? If one of your mates is handy with a camera then get them along to shoot it. Take the creativity from your tracks and use it to capture your spot. We’re not expecting to find the next Victor Lucas or Gary Perkin but some quality photos speak a thousands words. Pumptracks, jump lines, tech tracks, flowy tracks – if you’ve done any building, get on it! And have a look at the related ones to see what’s been done before.

Videos are always good, photos are key, and a few words on what you’ve done might be useful. Bundle all that up, and if it doesn’t fit in the carrier pigeon, email it to [email protected] .

If all else fails and the garden’s too small, put it in your greenhouse then hold a race on it or maybe build it on your school playing fields. Even better, make some ridiculously perfect jumps.

It doesn’t have to be an Atherton-esque creation!
