Windwave aquire Corsair bikes

We were quite excited about this small American bike company when we saw them at Eurobike. In particular the Crown downhill bike with it’s optional second shock. Now they’ll be available in the UK through Windwave.

PRESS RELEASE

Windwave are pleased to welcome Corsair Bikes, a new premium US mountain bike brand to the UK.

Windwave will add Corsair to their prestigious brand list, which currently includes Marzocchi, Colnago, FSA, Vision, Gravity, Mace, Nokon, BLT, A2Z and Ice Toolz.

Corsair bikes became a reality in December 06. With a dream, a talented group of friends and a blank piece of paper, they set out to build high-end technically-advanced bikes that would earn a place among the world’s most admired brands.

Corsair’s range of innovative suspension frames incorporates new and fresh design solutions with exceptional build quality and attention to detail.

The Centre Balance design is at the heart of each frame, centralizing mass to improve handling. The Idler Pulley system all but eliminates chain growth and adjustable head tubes allow the fine tuning of the head angle.

Corsair president Doug Stuart said “I am really happy to have Windwave as a member of the Corsair family. The UK will be an important market for Corsair and I am very confident that Windwave will be successful with our exciting new brand and product range.”

Corsair Bikes is a new bicycle company with offices in Seattle, Washington and Salt Lake City, Utah. The company’s mission is to make high performance mountain bikes designed for hardcore riders. All frames are designed by former professional DH racer and Whistler, BC local Pablo Tafoya.
