We've got the opportunity of a lifetime here at Dirt. How do you fancy winning yourself a free Norco bike, some fresh Troy Lee Designs Kit and becoming a Norco brand ambassador at the same time?
Photos and video: Tom Caldwell
Norco and Evans Cycles are looking for someone to represent them in the UK who is social media saavy, a great influence on their local riding community and willing to shout about a top bike brand.
The competition opens today and all we need from you are a couple of clips showing off why you're the right person for the job. Norco are after someone who can pin, huck, crack a joke or just be a great ambassador for the sport - even better if you can do more than one of them.
If you want to win you need to show it off in an Instagram clip and then put it under the #IamNorco hashtag so we can find it. Then label it #Pinner, #Hucker, #Joker or #Ambassador so we know what we're looking at.
Enter using #IamNorco on Instagram
You can submit as many clips as you like but we reckon you stand more chance of winning if you enter a clip for each category. You don't have to go out and film it either, if you have an existing clip on your account just go back to it, add the hashtag and we'll make sure it gets picked up.
Here's what they want, remember you can pick one or more of these clips to submit.
Are you the fastest of your mates? Send in a clip of you tearing through the turns and nailing inside lines.
Can you go huge? Are you always the first to guinea pig a sketchy jump? Norco want to see how big you'll go.
Do you put in the thankless hours digging, picking up litter or helping younger riders? Norco don't want that work to go unnoticed any more.
Do you always get your mates creasing and make sure everyone rides with a smile on their face? Let's see your funniest clips.
In summary entering couldn't be easier:
- Either find or shoot your best clips
- Make sure they are on Instagram
Add the hashtag #IamNorco
- Then let us know what we're looking at by labelling it as a:
- Tag: @norcobicycles, @evans_cycles and @dirtmagazine
and you're in the running.
The prize is only for UK residents but if you're not from the UK feel free to submit clips anyway, you never know who might be watching! Expect to see us pick some of our favourites and share them on our social media, however, the final decision will be down to Evans Cycles and Norco. The competition will run for seven weeks so you have plenty of time to get those clips in.
What you do in return
Norco just want you to keep doing what you're doing already. Riding your bike, creating content, getting people stoked on riding great bikes and giving back to the mountain bike community.
So what can you win? Top of the list is a FREE Norco bike. You get the choice of the Optic, Sight or Range.
The Norco Optic is the modern trail bike perfected. Featuring progressive geometry and trail-tuned A.R.T suspension, the Optic rides with just the right mix of XC efficiency and the playfulness of an all mountain bike. The Optic Carbon saves over 350g grams from the Aluminium model and features removable front mech mount and has Boost 148 rear hub spacing throughout the range.
Redesigned for 2017, the Norco Range Carbon is both an Enduro race rig and the ideal back country accomplice. With its updated geometry and A.R.T. suspension system the Range climbs with impressive efficiency, but it truly comes alive when the trail turns downhill - delivering unrivalled control and confidence to the rider at high speeds.
Metric rear shock and Enduro fork allow a Progressive suspension setup with the improved small bump compliance of a new trunnion mounted metric rear shock, and 170 mm of travel up front for a smooth ride and superior stiffness for aggressive descents.

The small print
So what is expected from you if you are chosen to be an ambassador for Norco?
"We would expect you to create a minimum of eight posts over the year, either in video or blog format. Also to be available for up to three events during the year with the brand, such as photo shoots or store brand day. Although the most important would be to simple represent the brand whilst out riding on the trails and via your social media account."
Not much work for all that kit really!
