It's a super busy weekend coming up with all kinds of events going off including the Penallt and District Skittles and Croquet championships.

Take your pick the choice is yours:

1/ Nps 4x

2/ Lisbon Downhill

3/ Avalanche Enduro

4/ Pearce Cycles Summer series

5/ Sda round 2 at Fort William

6/ NMBS round 3 Santa Ynez

First up it's the National 4x Champs near Bridgenorth. You get Round 2 of the National Series on the Saturday and then the National Champs race on the Sunday. The big news is that current champ Dale Holmes is making the trip over from the USA to compete and to try and retain his jersey for another year. Current series champ Scott Beaumont, ‘06 champ Will Longden and series champ in ‘06 Martin Ogden will all be there hoping to take the title.

The other interesting news is that whoever wins the senior title will also be selected to represent Great Britain at the Mountain Bike World Championships at Val Di Sole in Italy on June 19th 2008.

Next up we've got the Lisboa downtown race this weekend with 60 riders ragging it through the Lisbon neighbourhood from the São Jorge’ Castle to the Largo Terreiro do Trigo in front of about 20000 spectators, actually about half of them are probably there just doing some grocery shopping.

Steve Peat has ruled this event winning it six times, will Peaty make it lucky sevens? Stay tuned to find out.

Back on these shores the Avalanche Enduro takes place in the Kielder Forest. ---------------------------------------------------------------

The Pearce Cycles Summer DH Series - Round 3 is on this weekend at Bringewood nr Ludlow, Dirt correspondent The Butcher will at the scene handing out raw meat to anyone interested.
