Team Lapierre had a disappointing weekend at Leogang. Loic Bruni was the main focus of the attention throughout the race, having put down a stunning time in quails, coming in first. Having had Josh Bryceland take his first win at the previous round, the theme of the young riders taking their first wins put a lot of pressure on Bruni. Everything was going beautifully until he went into a corner that had caused a lot of other riders a bit of trouble, misjudged it, and ended up sliding out. Blenky also had an off weekend, coming 16th, saying he just had a messy run – unusual for such a precise, skilled rider. Emmeline Ragot completed the triplet of below-par results with a fourth.
It’s all in the video, so give it a watch, and wish the team better luck for Mont-Sainte-Anne in August!
