Four-cross, two-winners, five-a-day, it’s all in the numbers here at Schladming as Victor Lucas takes us through the Staurday finals.
Crowds gather around the floodlit 4X course. Maybe not the crazy horde we have seen at some races, and maybe the memories of last years hypothermia session put a few people off a repeat visit. But it was a pretty pleasant evening and Dan Jarvis did a good job on the mic – keeping everybody updated on what was actually happening.
Jill Kintner was in good spirits yesterday, she liked the track and felt good on it. Unfortunately tonight she wasn’t so pleased after she crashed out hard in the first round. Leaving her in 3rd place overall. Hard luck Jill, you can’t win them all.
The crowd were hoping for a home win with Austrian rider Anita Molcik looking strong and taking a win in the semi final. But Anneke Beerten rode consistently all night which is what it takes to get an overall title.
Jared Graves, so at last he gets to walk away with the trophy he won weeks ago, but it’s not like he was sitting around waiting – he kicked everybody’s ass tonight with some stunning winning margins. You know a rider is on form when the just make things look too easy!
It’s cool to be hairy. The 60’s are back, or maybe they never left Schladming. This follically gifted local has been a hit with the frauliens all weekend. Although he does look a little tired in this shot. So come on men, lend the bloke a hand, don’t be ashamed of your hairy shoulders and fuzzy navels, let it all hang out. Its sure to bring you some action at tomorrows party!
