Trans Savoie 2015 entries open this Friday

Trans Savoie 2015 entries open this Friday

If you want a challenge in 2015 then entries for the Trans Savoie open on Friday and with a few different options on pricing this year your can either be fully supported or go it relatively alone and look after yourself. This years event was another cracker and if you want to check out what went down then here are the reports – Day 1Days 2 & 3Days 4 & 5

Here’s all the info from the organisers and if you want to get entered up then hit their website here when entries open at 6PM GMT.

The Trans-Savoie event will take place during the week 22-29 August 2015, and applications are welcomed from all riders, regardless of age, sex or nationality. There is a new cheaper, self-supported entry option for next year too.

After two massively successful events, the next Trans-Savoie is going to be off the scale. We’ve lined up more awesome trails and less pedalling miles on liaison sections than ever before. If you think you can handle riding and racing epic, wilderness singletrack trails for 6 days straight with ski lifts taking care of the bulk of the climbing, make sure to get your entry in. For the last two years, demand has way outstripped the number of places available.

New for 2015, to make the open-to-all event even more accessible, we are offering the cheapest way to enter the Trans-Savoie yet with an extra option of a less expensive, stripped back, self-supported package. Vango LUX pack places will also be available again next year for those looking for a little more luxury.

The entry process will see all applications screened to ensure riders meet the required level of technical competence and experience required to safely compete, before 100 entry places are randomly allocated (it’s not done on a first come, first served basis). Successful applicants will be notified in early November. A second wave of limited entries (around 20 places) will be available on 1st March 2015. There are no reserve spaces for Pro racers – if you are a Pro rider and wish to participate, we strongly advise getting your entry in early.

The 2014 highlights video gives you an idea of what Trans-Savoie offers – unbelievable descents for up to 30 minutes, singletrack ribbons for miles, all spiced up by some of the most technically demanding rocky, challenging terrain on the enduro race circuit. Over the course of six days there are up to six massive timed downhills per day in stunning dramatic alpine scenery, all accessed using the extensive lift systems (or the least uphill liaison stages we can engineer!) to get to the good stuff. Trans-Savoie is ridden against the clock during the stages, but we strive to deliver a fun, relaxed vibe throughout the week with no excessive pressure to compete – racers can take it all in at whatever pace they prefer.

Fancy riding an alpine all-mountain event where there are six days with elevation profiles like this? That’s over 5,000m (16,500 feet) of downhill singletrack in one day with five timed stages!

Entries go live at 6PM GMT and if you fancy giving it a go then get yourself to their website here
