I had an email from Aiken Collinge telling me a bit more about the sketch over at Sherwood Pines. Sounds like they just need some more regular diggers to turn it in to a good spot.
Well as you know there’s been a fairly hefty bit of money put into Sherwood Pines recently, and I’m pretty sure you know about the ‘bike park’ that’s currently under construction. Well the bit that we have creative control over is our trails. (I’m sure you’ve had many many emails from various people regarding their trails, and possible visits/coverage, and I appreciate that ours may not be as good in comparison, but it’s just the fact that they are legal, public trails, and now that these have been made it may encourage similar FC owned woods to follow suit)
The Northshore trails (which were actually supposed to have been constructed by April this year) are due to be up and running by May, and a few mini DH courses, the main one designed to be like Karate Monkey in Whistler. Supposedly Chris Bray saw the section on Seasons and wanted Pines to have something similar… I’m a bit sceptical myself, but oh well it should at least be good fun to ride then.
Yeah, sooooo, I realised I’ve rambled a bit. Pretty much all the news is that the more mtbers (who dig as well might I add!) the better.
The trails are gonna have even more work put in by us this winter, and should get pretty sick. Not a patch on Wisely or Chertsey as we aren’t superhuman, but good nonetheless.
