Wichman, Vink, Kurd and Bruekner on the Rose Vaujany Team for 2012
A brand new team on the race circuit, the Rose (bikes) Vaujany (resort) Pro Team. Great to see Joost Wichman will be racing enduro this year, and that Katy Kurd has a good team ride and that Dirt favourite Nico Vink is in there (one of the most stylish mountainbikers ever). Don’t know much about Petrik Bruekner, so we’ll have to wait and see.
It’s all about gravity!
Rose Vaujany is the newest pro mountainbike team around!
At the head of this brand new gravity team is Joost ‘the Boost’ Wichman. The bronze medal winner of the 2011 World Championships has the backing of two international sponsors: German bicycle brand Rose and the French village of Vaujany, situated in a well known mountainbike region near the Alpe d’Huez.
The team will focus on Downhill, Fourcross and Enduro. Rose Vaujany has a strong international flavor, with riders from Holland, Belgium, Germany and the U.K. Rose Vaujany will attend the DH World Cups, the brand new 4X Pro Tour, the IXS Downhill Cups and, of course, the Mega Avalanche. In addition the team will be present at all major bike festivals.
A multiple European Fourcross Champion and World Cup winner. He’s going to combine his role as team manager with riding Enduro & Fourcross.
Well known for his Downhill skills and his unique style. Expect to see Nico in the top 20 at the Downhill World Cups, all the time using his outstanding way of riding to please the crowds.
One of the most talented female mountainbikers in the world. Twice British National Fourcross champ, the 2010 British Downhill Series winner and she already collected 5 World Cup podiums. She’ll be riding Downhill and Fourcross.
A top 10 rider in Fourcross. The team expects he’ll be ‘Germans fastest’ in 2012. Besides Fourcross, Petrik will be seen on the Enduro bike.
The Rose Vaujany team will be riding the Rose Beef Cake DH Bike, the Uncle Jimbo Enduro Bike and the custom made Rose 4X Bike.
Rose is the in house bike brand by Rose Versand GmbH, the biggest cyclingstore in Europe. They ship customized bicycles, bicycle parts and clothing across the world direct from Bocholt, Germany.
Vaujany is a little village in the French Alpes. It’s known for it’s challenging enduro trails and it’s the host of the Mega Avalanche.
