Ever since the drug scene seemed to get cleaned up in the world of professional road cycling there have been rumours of riders going down an alternative route in order to cheat. Fabian Cancellara is just one of several riders who has aroused suspicion regarding the use of covert electrical assistance, but the video below has just been posted on YouTube of Ryder Hesjedal crashing in the Vuelta a España last week. Why does a crash lead anyone to believe that he was using some kind of motor to help him? Well just watch what happens to his bike after he crashes...

What do you lot reckon? Guilty as charged? And if this kind of cheating really is going on, will it hit the world of mountain biking? Or has it already?

Whether this particular bike is electric or not, the fact is that electric bikes are everywhere now, even in the world of fat bikes! Should we be embracing them? Or are they the spawn of Satan? If you want to join in the debate then have a look at our discussion.
