EXCLUSIVE: 2011 COMMENCAL SUPREME DH PROTOTYPE TESTING WITH THE ATHERTONS
As you may know, we here at Dirt have exclusive access to the new Commencal Supreme DH frame. We are following the frame from the initial early drawings, through to prototype stage, testing and then final production. The complete story will come out in the magazine in a few months time, but just to keep you interested we are going to be dropping some spy shots on the site.
Last week (Aug 19-20th) Nico Menard from Commencal in Andorra, flew over to the Atherton family HQ to try out the new frame. The team’s mechanics carefully built the new frames up into complete bikes, and of course the all–important team stickers were applied. As we said, the full story will be appearing in the magazine, but for now here are some photos.
Gee and Rachel Atherton unwrapping the frame with a nice cup of tea.
Team manager Dan Brown, Commencal engineer Nico Menard and spanner men Andy and Stevie all looking a bit shifty if you ask me.
