iXS Dirt Masters Festival 2008: Side Events confirmed

Europe’s biggest Freeride Festival proudly presents the VANS Rocknight feat. Bloodlights and Peter Pan Speedrock

Solingen/Winterberg, March 4, 2008 The Friday evening will start with an FMX show by Busty Wolter’s Upforce Crew. With Busty and Team mate Fabian Bauersachs the iXS Dirt Masters Festival presents two high class FMX riders.

Themed ‚from the bike onto the stage’ Busty will change his bike with an electric guitar to perform afterwards with the punkrock band Dan Dryers. The other guys from Dan Dryers belong to the mountainbike rider magazine staff – these guys will rock it to the top. Besides own songs Dan Dryers will cover some Rock’n’Roll Classics.

Next are Karateclub from Düsseldorf. The band, consisting of members of the former underground bands Bratseth, Free Yourself, Hack Mack Jackson and Mindmachine was formed in 2000. After initial gigs the band has set up new standards in punk’n’roll-jetset with their demo „Need more Hell“, winning them performances alongside acts like Aerobitch, Craving, Cumshots, Poison Idea, etc. and establishing them as an inside tip. Their sound can be described as explosive punk’n’roll hardcore.

The Saturday evening will be as dirty as the day was…
With the bands Bloodlights and Peter Pan Speedrock the iXS Dirt Masters Festival presents some ass-kicking Rock’n’Roll acts.

Peter Pan Speedrock from the Netherlands are well known for their love for a straight and pure kind of Rock’n’Roll. The ‚Speedrock’ guys shared a stage with Motörhead, Nashville Pussy, Zeke, Anthrax, Rose Tattoo, Danko Jones, Gluecifer, Mad Sin and the Flaming Sideburns.

Bloodlights are confirmed as Headliners. After five records and ten years of excistense Captain Poons former band Gluecifer fell apart in 2005, due to the lack of motivation among certain members. It took the Captain about two seconds to figure out what to do next. Forming a new band was an obvious decision. The new band is called Bloodlights. The name describes a self experienced phenomenon of seeing red blisters before passing out, often in conjunction with endless touring, lack of sleep and a lifestyle some people may consider unhealthy.

The entry fee for the Vans Rocknight is 5,- EUR/each.
